I made an app that turns the news headlines into Vangelis-style ambient music. It works best on a full screen, but any size screen should do.

…thanks! But watch out! The music becomes less pleasant as the pleasantness of headlines declines. It has been teetering on the edge acceptable listening while I tested it.
I have another one. This is a weather app with a difference, in that it is heavily influenced by the album ‘First Narrows’ by Loscil. I guess each of these sites is effectively a composition. I am creating the vibe, setting the tonal rules, and then connecting the whole thing to some source of data, which visually and musically shifts what is happening. I am still working out if this is a ‘thing’ or not.

If I open the Settings dialog and change from the C Dorian to, say, C Pentatonic scale and hit Apply, the main display shows C Pentatonic for a few seconds then switches itself back to the Dorian scale. Is this by design, or am I doing something wrong?
Have seen the same. Essentially the scale is derived from the tone of the news (or overall weather conditions on the second one) and this resets every time a new set of data is fetched. The bug is that I didn’t really consider that the whole thing works off external data and that can’t really be changed, a bit like real life!
