Why did he leave?
Colin H says
I’ve no idea. We’ll have to ask him if he ever returns.
Kaisfatdad says
I am hoping that he is simply on holiday in Darkest Tasmania (as he was last year) and temporarily off the radar.
If he is, this track is devilishly appropriate…

Yes, I’m sure that’s it. Everyone needs a rest and in the meantime, he’s not hard to find, tweeting away @StuartPenney1 and posting on other music sites http://www.emptymirrorbooks.com/features/music/cream-disraeli-gears-review.html on familiar topics

Hard to find if one isn’t a Twit/FB-er, Nick… I’m currently digitising the Cream Top Gear 14.1.68 session, including a version of ‘We’re Going On’ that doesn’t appear to be on the official Cream BBC album or bootlegs. What more must we do to get the great man back, I ask you!?

Colin, I’m surprised you’re not a Twitterer. For an author it’s extremely useful for promoting books and articles, asking for info and generally connecting with like-minded folk.

I think all that Twit/FB stuff is a daft waste of time. In a way, this blog is too, but it’s more fun.

God save the Cream:

If this is missing from the Cream BBC Sessions is this one of the new tracks on the Fresh Cream Super Deluxe? I held off buying that as far too much duplication of tracks but I know they’ve added 2 or 3 BBC tracks.
Almost Simon says
Not the full tracks of Cream – Politician, Steppin Out, We’re Going Wrong and SWLABR. I know the full Steppin Out is available, not sure on the others. Cheers for posting tho.
Fleetwood Mac tracks with the DJ announcements are VEEEEEERRRRY Interesting. Didnt know they’d appeared with Eddie Boyd, thats not on the BBC Sessions 2cd.
Colin H says
I believe ‘We’re Going Wrong’ is otherwise unavailable. You may well well have heard it here first (in 50 years)…

One more throw of the dice, Fleetwood Mac with Eddie Boyd, Top Gear 21.1.68:

Why not tag him? @johnny-concheroo
Then he’ll know he’s being called in for ‘is tea. . .

‘Good number there’…you’d never hear that on the wireless these days, would you? But it was a very good number indeed, thanks Colin. Thanks for Cream too.

Tweeted 16 minutes ago…I think he might be lurking.

Burt’ll bring him back.

Has anyone heard from H.P. Cocain? I’m convinced he’s not ‘Corganiser’.
