I was a big fan until I came upon him on social media. He’s firmly of the “so-profoundly-pro-Palestinian-that-he-blames-Israel-and-the-west-for-everything’ persuasion, as well as displaying some old-fashioned personal politics and, of course, being anti-vax (because Bill Gates want to chip the kids or whatever). He is also a firm believer that David Icke is the only person in public life who speaks any sense. It surprises me, given the toxicity of sone of his posts. that he still gets a pass from 6 Music (I’ve heard him interviewed by them twice recently). And, while he’s free to hold whatever unpalatable views he likes( there’s never been a terror attack that he hasn’t seen through as a “false flag” setup, which must be hard for the victims to read from the Hollow Horse hitmaker), it is disconcerting to see so many of his fans pitch in behind him on Facebook as if he’s some great truth teller; they are blinded by their fandom and it’s a sorry sight. Somebody needs to stage an intervention, give him a few decent meals, and attempt in a gentle, generous way to de-radicalise him.
I’m afraid he became unpalatable to me, long before the online conspiracy theories, after reading his book (2008), in which he comes across as a colossal bellend.
I can still listen the Icicle Works, and I still like his first couple of solo albums, but I won’t be buying any more to support the crackpot. My loss, perhaps, but a risk I’m prepared to take.

If you like the Icicle Works or his solo stuff this is well worth look.

I love the Icies and some of his solo work so I will watch this when the sporting weekend is done.
He is an idiot on social media though.

Completely agree about social media and his book makes him out to be a misogynistic twat.

I was just going to ask, is he going to rewrite his book now that he’s finally grown up?
