I’d be interested to know the four points you missed out on @gardener.
For my part, there were about a dozen immediately familiar records where I just blanked on the title – encroaching senility, I expect..
I watched it all the way through there are covers there I have never seen before, some I’d seen but didn’t know either the band or the title. I reckon if I was to have another go I still wouldn’t be able to name them.
67/100. I surprised myself, given that my memory is full of holes. Mostly recognised the big names, and the ones I didn’t know were largely those I’ve never seen before.
Give me covers of goth, industrial, and darkwave albums and I’d be well away. Lizzo? St Vincent? Barenaked Ladies? Not so much.
52/100. I want to blame SZA, Igor and Childish Gambino, but I also wouldn’t know a Grateful Dead album cover even if it jumped on me and tried to shove a bong up my bum.
I gave up after the first 20. I had scored 25/40 (which seemed surprisingly high given my narrow musical taste) but I couldn’t take the quiz seriously after the answer to album number 20 missed out its subtitle – An Observation by King Crimson.
I got 33 out of 50.
Obviously most but not all of those I didn’t know were musically of little value and from the 21st century.
😉
96/100

70/100
59/100
54/100… most of these are the albums advertised in magazines I buy to get to the Cliff article!
72
I gave after 10 and only getting 12/20. I either knew them or I didn’t, and a couple of that 10 I had never even heard of.
I drew a blank on Lizzo & Bad Bunny but that was all, I guess see a lot of records but I used to run a record market for more than 10 years
Even I (20-odd before I got bored) didn’t draw a blank at Lizzo…
But I love the idea of the Lizzo and Bad Bunny fans saying “hey, isn’t that Crimso’s debut?”
The pedant in me couldn’t help think “that’s not actually the full title, though”.
Ziggy Stardust included The Rise and Fall etc…
A very poor 47 points
A very disappointing 56.
I’d have got more if the selection had been other than by an American 20 years younger than me, at a guess.
21/50 then I got bored

I cannot remember ever seeing that Grateful Dead cover
As I can barely remember what day it is anymore I’m not even going to.
Oh go on. I’ve set the bar nice and low at 38.
OK then I’ll give a go.
48/100. I’m surprised I knew that many.
A paltry 51/100
100%!
Though I stopped after the first one.
You’re the kind of right thinking person this site is in such desperate need of. I for one salute you.
Thank you @pencilsqueezer
Much appreciated!
All of them, because it gives the answer shortly after the cover is shown. I’ll show myself out.
(in seriousness, probably less than half. Quite a few there that look familiar, but I would not be able to ID. For example, The Killers.)

A poor 51
a bland 61 – very little knowledge past 1990, apart from what I’ve might have seen in Mojo
