This word I was familiar with. When I was young an uncle of mine would read those cheap paperback westerns so I’m sure this word showed up in a few titles.
When I mentioned to her indoors that I knew the word by watching Westerns as a kid she replied “Typical”. I have severely edited the rest of her response.
