It’s been done before on a Mojo or Uncut freebie CD but this is a performance by Watkins Family Hour & Friends that includes all of Robbie Z’s classic album.
Watkins Family Hour includes Sara & Sean Watkins (late of Nickel Creek), Fiona Apple and Benmont Tench. & Friends includes Al Kooper, Shawn Colvin and Aimee Mann.
Thought it was worth a mention.

OOO, this might tip me over into buying their CD, as being pushed hard by Proper. Big fan of Sara so I’ll get this and let you know

Hey Retro as the resident expert on all things Covers related what are the Sussanah Hoffs/Matthew Sweet covers albums like? They have the 3 cd’s grouped together with a 4th cd of unreleased covers all for about £14 from the Greedy Bastards. Are they with a punt or are they sugary?
Baron Harkonnen says
Hey Steevie T, I can tell you what they are like and whether they are worth 14 Quids for A BOX SET OF 4 CDs!
The answer is yes , as you should know Matthew Sweet is one of the finest purveyors of `Power Pop` on the planet and together with Susanne Hoffs they have put out a fine set of covers. I know I have them so part with yer cash yer tight get!

When I asked in Resident Music about these albums, they reckoned the first couple were unavailable so it might be a good opportunity to get them.
Baron Harkonnen says
There are plenty at the Tax Dodgers market place at good prices.

60s (Vol 1) great, 70s (2)better, 80s (3) sadly limp and a bit karaoke, but I know nowt about the unreleased, beyond just having a look. Having cherry picked tracks in the past, I think the albino draculike is right, and I have just “been to Rugely” on the strength of that. (It’s not released, the quad, till 9/10/15.)
* local parlance for the Trent tributary of Brazils finest.
Here is the sole example of a Yes cover version that I know:
Volume 2. Stev Howe just happens to play on the track.

“Albino draculalike”, what do you mean? Your choice of weapons at dawn sir.

Term of admiration, Baron. Damn good look.

Hey Retro – I heard another Yes cover this pm. This is a strange day for coincidences – Electric Wurms (Krautrock spin off of Flaming Lips) do a very fine version of in the heart of the sunrise.

Completely agree withe that assessment Retro, the last one was a real disappointment
