I’ve posted about the excellent Is It Rolling Bob? podcast before. Here are the two guys involved (Lucas Hare and Kerry Shale) in conversation with Mark Ellen and David Hepworth. It’s as lively, garrulous and free-ranging as you might expect.

Thanks
Of course Lucas is virtually an AW alumnus, if jumping the blog when merely W.
and Kerry Shale was involved somewhere (early days of Afterword?)
Sat on the floor next to Kerry Shale on The Word boat trip on the Thames in 2011.
So did I! Backward 7 spilled his pint and Mr Shale offered a very large spotted handkerchief as a mop.
I think I remember that!
And the poster of Dylan he showed, I was at that gig in Montreux!
Recorded some bits for podcast as in ‘you are listening to a podcast from The Word’.
Kerry’s the guy that intones ‘you’re listening to a Podcast from the Word”
I remember. Lived down the road from my Mum!
Lucas is still around on that Twitter.
The phrase “Is it Rolling, Bob?” is arguably the most quoted in his career, from one of his least-regarded, even though it’s one of his best, albums.
Also, doesn’t the phrase relate to the producer Bob Johnston, and not Dylan at all?
it’s Dylan asking Bob Johnston if the tape is rolling (Nashville Skyline)
I enjoyed this. Lovely little episode.
Is It Rolling Bob is a great podcast, and I speak as as a mainly non believer.
