I learned the world “twelp”, which is to tweet for help.
Previously I would have regarded it as a noise made involuntarily by Finbarr Saunders (peace and blessings be upon him).
Have you learned anything recently?

That the New Kids On The Block Christmas LP is shit. I’m not saying that I thought it wouldn’t be, just that it’s now positively confirmed.
Oh, my ears!
“Everybody’s always talking about who’s on top”
hur hur hur
I have learned that Naples Yellow acrylic paint is no substitute for mustard on a hot dog.
I have also learned the international sign language for Prog courtesy of Beany.
I wonder how people with no sense of smell manage to avoid eating paint. It nearly always looks delicious.
I learned that you can see the International Space Station if you go to the NASA website and get the times for your location, so I did and there it was; three foot shorter than a US football pitch and traveling at 17,500 miles an hour.
I also learned that Lou Reed was right when he said “Things like that drive me out of my mind,” and so was Ian Dury when he said “There ain’t half been some clever bastards.”
Norwich City will stay up this season.
Yep, there’s nothing new under the sun.
Whereas the football ‘experts’ (and, don’t laugh, Pat Nevin) saw the Chelsea manager’s sacking as some kind of new player-power phase of the game, actually, five years ago, the Chelsea (hmmm, them again, nice) players pretty much played to rule under AVB in order to get him the sack.
The common factor?
‘Mr. Chelsea’ himself…….
J. – not remotely racist, no way, I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it – T.
Is he the same as J – I am a big headed cunt, but have passed my sell by date – T?
I learned that Beany’s mixtape of Christmas songs is brilliant beyond compare and anyone dissing it has cloth ears….. no really!!
That my employers value my efforts on their behalf just as little as I had begun to suspect.
Also that large G&Ts are less hangover-inducing than beers. So far.
You might want to wait till tomorrow before deciding that! I do love a g&t or 4 but find they make me a zombie until at least mid day when I wake up (or should that be ‘come round’?)
