Happy Easter everyone. This is what’s currently doing the rounds in our house, with mini paws very much enjoying this advert form the 80’s (and the associated chocolate eggs). How about you, what are you doing for Easter?

Happy Easter too, more parrots. Thought this may be of interest.

We just got back from Öland, an island in the south-west of Sweden, where we’ve been seeing her family. It’s an 8 hour drive which gave us time to enjoy several of the AW inspired playlists I have made om Spotify. And for our 14 year old son to play some of his favourites.
All seriously urban stuff and some pretty unlistenable.
But Kojo Funds has a splendid, expressive voice and excellent lolloping beats.
And I really fell for Yay by Nines featuring Tiggs da Author. (no relation to our Tiggerlion?)
Uncluttered and poignant.
Yay is slang for Peruvian nose powder.
Tiggs da Author is my cousin.
Coughing, mainly.
Thanks, Paws!
I’ve taken the kids out for a bike ride but my front derailleur’s fucked so right now I’m mainly just spraying WD40 at that while they watch Minecraft/watch unsuitable videos on YouTube.
I do have some firin’ Drum & Bass on the stereo though.
Years ago I got a plastic Mr Cadbury’s Parrot toy, whereby you shove a mini egg in its beak, press its head down, whereby his wings stick out and he lays the egg. The kids love it and head straight for it every time they get some mini eggs. Quite puzzled why Mr Cadbury’s Parrot lays the eggs, rather than Mrs Cadbury’s Parrot though.
Possibly because the parrot that belongs to Mr Cadbury could be female.
Ah!
We don’t do a big meal, and aren’t religiously inclined, but did have chocolate Easter eggs as part of breakfast in bed this morning then went for a walk in the local bluebell wood.
Great photo Gatz!
Aren’t your offspring small thoughts?
Five going on 15! Perfectly magical time where tooth fairies, Easter bunnies and for that matter Mister Cadburys Parrot are all the order of the day. It also means that we get to listen to the Trolls soundtrack in the car, so I guess you can’t have everything (to be fair we had Yellow Submarine yesterday morning).
If only I could turn the clock back. Cooked lamb today and son brought his family, including two small boys, too small for Yellow Submarine even, but I have the DVD ready.
It’s our wedding anniversary as well.
Thirteen years that poor woman’s been shackled to me. If she’d murdered me she’d be out by now. .. assuming they’d have jailed her in the first place.
Truro City, in a desperate effort to galvanise the team into clawing themselves away from relegation, are only charging a fiver tomorrow.
It’ll give me a chance to crack my Easter joke.
Quiet passage of play…..look up at the sky…..say “It looks like rain”…..pause four seconds…..say “but it should soon pass over.”
Boom boom, tish. Have a lovely afternoon. This is the best time of year to watch a game, in my opinion. The cricket season not so.
Mr B slammed in the lamb yesterday.
(We had a nice dinner, too.)
Happy Easter everyone!
We had a huge family feast at my sister’s place, for the first time that I can remember everybody was there, including my sister who lives in Gothenburg (and her kids) and my brother and his family who usually go to Finland every Easter. Wonderful to see everybody, lots of food and catching up.
Me and my sister had baked the traditional Easter delicacies from my dad’s Italian heritage, and my brother and his partner had made a Russian dessert from her family’s heritage.
I’m still full, just snacking on some chocolate because it’s there…
A sudden blizzard appeared when we left, short but intense!
Pretty hectic Easter weekend here in Singapore. Started with a lazy Friday, but then we had the Singapore 7s all day Saturday and Sunday (11am to 9pm each day). Great rugby, great atmosphere and England managed 3rd after a shaky start.
Took a break from the rugby on Sunday lunch to go to one of the hotel Easter Brunch buffets, where the had a whole roasted baby lamb as the centrepiece. Ate far too much, followed by probably a few too many beers back at the rugby in the afternoon……..
