Christmas seems to have come early to the blog and bypassed Halloween.
Can you share your songs which contain monsters, ghosts or just simply scare you.
The ghost of Stephen Foster reminds me of those cartoons that were shown on OGWT when they didn’t have a film of the band.
i know Dylan did a Halloween show on his radio series, but he’s only Dylan, We’re the Afterword

Just so happens to be almost true – mine was born October 30th….
Like Halloween, dislike trick or treat.
and also hate posting the wrong video
For tonight is Halloween / And the Fairy folk ride
Possibly a bit On The Nose, but this is superb
(“Halloween” – Siouxsie and the Banshees)
Bah humbug.
Apologies for posting this, but it’s kind of scary. Not sure if the track title is a pun either…
Jan Terri – Get Down Goblin
The current Kirk Family earworm. Firstborn can’t wait for it.
The Nightmare Before Christmas – This is Halloween
From 1970 – Rattles – The witch

This scares me senseless, from the ghoul at the beginning onward
That little girl is now second-in-command at MI5.
Misfits – Halloween

David Bowie – Scary Monster & Super Creeps
German Prog(ish) Metal?
Helloween – Halloween
(all 13 minutes of it – sorry!)
Bauhaus – Bela Lugosi’s Dead
Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band – Monster Mash
Screamin’ Jay Hawkins – I Put A Spell On You
The Witches Of Halloween (woooo!) from BBC Schools ‘Words & Pictures’
Well, if that’s the name of the band might as well have a song with the same title.
May prove useful if a Music & Culture based blog ever has a call for Halloween related songs
Hallows Eve – Hallows Eve
(what was the attraction of Thrash Metal? It is mostly awful. Will we ever see a thread entitled “Thrash Metal: Time For A Re-Appraisal? Probably not!)
Redbone – Witch Queen Of New Orleans
http://youtu.be/YIKCIwy6WUk
The Fall (as they are more Autumnal than R Dean Taylor) – There’s A Ghost In My House.
http://youtu.be/180Sq7zMmWc
Kevin Ayers – Song From The Bottom Of A Well
Richard Thompson – I Can’t Wake Up To Save My Life
Procol Harum – The Dead Man’s Dream
My niece is doing a gig on Halloween. Her uncle is trying to muscle in as the support act, but that’s another story. She is planning to sing this. I reckon she’ll pull it off.
I periodically place this clip on the blog.
If it’s not Halloween then it’s something to do with childhood.
Every neighbourhood has a house like the one described here that all the kids think is haunted.
Wicked Annabella – The Kinks
Just spotted this flier for an upcoming show at Halloween. Having seen Goblin play at the Lunar Fest, it should be wonderful gothic over the top schlock prog, or GOOTSP as this genre is becoming increasingly known:

Goblin’s music for Dario Argento’s Suspiria was sensational. Easy to believe that this could be rather special.
Annie Nightingale always plays this when she’s doing a show on/near Halloween
(“Martin” – Soft Cell)
So nice to to hear that again.
Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer – Psycho
