Intrigued by the list of festivals given a bung by the exchequer. By and large it seems to include those I go to: Cambridge, Shrewsbury, Cropredy and even Bearded Theory have all had some assistance, with only , of those recently frequented, Towersey missing out. Could it be that Sunak compiled his list from this site. “If retropath2 has done more than a single nights out review, kerching!”

Festivals huh? I’m just saddened by the thought that if people like Dave and Sam had shown their smirking privileged faces at any festival prior to about 1990 they’d have been bombarded with dollops of shit and forced to flee the site. Any festival worth its salt shouldn’t have fucking teepees at a zillion quid a time. Sorry Michael, sorry Emily. I’ll probably still go again the first chance I get. But even so.
Who knows, Retro? Perhaps Sunak is lurking here at the Afterword?
I can understand that. He wants to get down with the kids!
My local music venue, Club 85, got a wedge too. The owner was very gracious since he’s not exactly a fan of the current government to say the least. Our funky little local theatre didn’t though, and are running a fund raiser to try to survive.
Sidmouth too, and the not particularly long established Stoller Hall in Manchester. I seem to be on the distribution list for quite a few beneficiaries, and I am happier for that.
Hull Truck. Thank fuck.
