The pretty harmless Huntsman. Get a lot down here in Southern Vic. Drop out of trees and find their way in. and yep they scuttle quick – especially up your arm.

Pretty harmless? I would want to chance it.
Yeah they can be huge. I remember being in bed , heavily stoned and seeing one on the ceiling. Later, in my sleep, I felt this scuttling on my neck. I sort of vaguely connected that it was the spider from the ceiling. I just flicked it off, rolled over and resumed my opiated slumber.
Wouldn’t happen today.
Before a holiday on The Sunshine Coast I’d ask myself if I could run at more than 8.5 miles per hour for an extended period.
If that was in doubt, I’d go to Lanzarote instead.
When I first got together with Mrs thep in Oz she lived up a mountain with an outside dunny/shower, which she shared with an enormous python up in the rafters. Took some getting used to – nothing like being naked with a python staring down at you and wondering if it was going to drop on your head. Also living in the dunny was an enormous huntsman, which was certainly living dangerously. Strangely, the python didn’t seem interested, probably because there were unlimited cane toads, mice, rats and who knows what else outside, and the huntsman was no more than an amuse-bouche.
Botswana. Having a shower when in from the “window” no glass, comes an elephant trunk bogarting all the water. I didn’t argue.
Would have been amusing if it had squirted it all out again.
