I was expecting a mention of Maria McKee’s “Cat in the Wall”.
The fact of having to leave stuff behind: the cost of shipping heavy vinyl if moving continents is prohibitive, so I left records with people. On my last trip to Australia I was reunited with just a few from my collection which I found mouldering in my Dad’s garage – maybe 20 or 30 or so. The joy and Proustian bliss of that reunion was immense.
Their collection was “too heavy to transport”!! WTF is wrong with these people!
At least its another T-shirt “The Afterword – too heavy to transport”
Probably far too many NWOBHM albums. Packing serious amounts of heavyosity.
Christ there are some bitter tosspots throwing brickbats at that article in the comments. The sort of hollow, loud vessels that pipe up when there’s an easy target for their juvenile drivel & bile. Thank God I don’t usually bother to read the Graun article commentary entries (or the Beeb HYS stuff for that matter- what a bunch of (mostly) snide little losers) – this has reminded me again of why I avoid those places and come here instead.
I didn’t read the stuff below the line anywhere. I rarely do.
