Whilst tidying up my cds today I came across the self titled and only lp by German band Nosferatu.
The track “Willie The Fox” was played on Stuart Maconies Freak Zone which made me buy the cd.
Tull style flute, weird mid section what’s not to like! Enjoy!

Yes we have Nosferatu…

By way of apology:

There is much to appreciate in German progressive rock if you are forgiving of human failings.

It is all rather interesting from an historical perspective. Within 10 years, the world and his wife would be flocking to Germany to work with Conny Plank and his contemporaries: Devo, Eurythmics, Hunters and Collectors, Les Rita Mitsouko, Ultravox etc.

In the 70s, German cinema was also on a roll: Wender, Fassbnder, Herzog, Schlöndorff etc
Plank wasn’t the only Konrad in Krautrock.
Deutsche elektronische Musik: Experimental German Rock and Electronic Musik 1972-83 is a fine, fine compilation – well worth seeking out
Three volumes – all excellent. Vorsprung durch well’ard.
Excellent tip, Rigid. And it is on Spotify,
I was surprised to see it was on Souljazz. What a fine label that is.
Sorry to see your Schitzler thread get derailed by semi-tumescent, hairdresser erotica. Moose. He sounds like a fascinating chap.
CS was great, a proper bonkers muso. All of his records are interesting, even the crap ones
We’re getting dangerously close to one of my CD Swap tracks here chaps!
