I think that may be a picture from Hillsborough…in which case that is out of order (not saying that is deliberate from you Gary)

This isn’t the first time that Gary has “accidentally” posted something wildly inappropriate that contravenes the Afterword guidelines. Oh, wait – yes it is.
That’s not exactly true. I once got the Mods in a spot of bother through far worse stupidity than not looking at what I’m posting. Ages ago, some AWers were slagging off someone (I can’t remember who, someone well-known I’d probably never heard of) and an evidently decent AWer asked why this guy was getting such a dissing. “What has he ever done to anyone here?” was the gist if not the actual question. So of course I replied “He raped my dear mother as she lay dying”. For I was that hilarious even back then. Now, this accusation wasn’t true, at all in the slightest. In reality, this bloke, whoever he was, absolutely definitely did not rape my dear mother as she lay dying. To the best of my knowledge, I don’t think anyone did. Anyway, to my surprise the subject of my juvenile and slanderous accusation somehow read it on the AW and was understandably a bit miffed. The nice Mods dealt with it.
But he was ok about getting slagged off by the Massive ?
I don’t remember the comments but I imagine they were more opinions than scurrilous accusations.
You’ll notice that I learnt my lesson and haven’t accused anyone of raping my dying mother since. Not once.
Mods – can we remove Gary’s comments referring to a certain distressing event that didn’t happen? It may be triggering for Afterworders who have experienced similar events that didn’t happen.
