Just read that today is George Harrison’s anniversary. It’s 14 years since he left us – which seems like no time at all really.
Got any favourite George clips? This is one that I’ve listened to a lot since his music arrived on Spotify last month. Sounds perfect now on a gloomy grey Sunday morning. It’s also, surely, a contender for worst solo Fab video. And that’s a crowded field!

I love the George Harrison album, including opener Love Comes To Everyone. I knew Eric Clapton played on the song, but I only learnt recently that he also released his own version in 2005 as a tribute to his deceased friend. It’s a completely pointless cover in that it sounds almost exactly like the original only not quite as good, but it was a nice thing to do.
Oddly enough I woke up today with the song That’s the Way it Goes going through my head.
Friend of mine used to be part of the Gardening team at Friar Park.
He always spoke of the great potential in the grounds, and the sheer size of the place.
Unfortunately, Olivia Harrison was not decisive and would get stuff planted on a whim, and then 3 months later instruct that it all be ripped out and something else put in.
A selection of George will be played today in his honour.
And now the (vaguely) negative: All Things Must Pass is his only truly great album, and even that would benefit from condescending to three sides (or a slightly long single LP)
