Wow, this is amazing. Somewhat ironically given I was just posting today about technology bring used to airbrush the past, I’ve just seen this which was released a couple of days ago. Genesis in their prime, in concert at Shepperton Studios, now given the deluxe HD treatment. It looks incredible. When I get a spare hour I’m going to watch this on the big telly.
Hearty applause to everyone involved.

I’ve watched the previous generation many times on YouTube and you’re right, it’s superb.

On a similar topic…the upcoming release of Atom Heart Mother as a CD plus bluray set features upgraded footage from Japan.

What! Tell me more!
Oh this should be good. I love Atom Heart Mother and (maniac as I am) I’ve always thought Alan’s Psychedelic Breakfast would suit a surround sound mix. (I take it the Blu Ray will have a Dolby Atmos or 5.1 mix?)
*EDIT* Oh is it this? https://burningshed.com/pink-floyd_atom-heart-mother-special-edition_cd_blu-ray Not quite as special as I’d hoped. More of a CD reissue with an added BluRay disc of concert footage. Still nice but not sure I’m as tempted by that.

Particularly after they included the quad mix of Atom Heart Mother on that big expensive archive box set a few years back. I was hoping to see that on this set at the very least.

Absolutely wonderful, great seeing it at this quality.

If anybody ever asks you, “What is prog?”, you can show them this video and say, “This. This is prog. None more prog.”
The clothes, PG’s glow-in-the-dark makeup, the twin-necked guitar, mad and fantastic lyrics, weird tunes that go on forever and that you wish would never stop… Amazing stuff. And now it looks like it could have been filmed yesterday. Wonderful, and thanks to all involved. The work required must have been staggering.
