I seem to have got on a mailing list which is suggesting I attend the “Bonnaroo” festival, which is in Tennessee so it’s a little impractical…
But they did send a link to a free 38 track download sampler which I’m just downloading now.
It includes “Pedestrian At Best” from Courtney Barnett, which makes it worthwhile on it’s own if you haven’t heard that yet, but also has other AW-friendly acts such as Hurray For The Riff Raff, Rhiannon Giddens and Brandi Carlile, along with Run The Jewels, The Do, Glass Animals and a load of stuff I don’t recognise.
Though – based on nothing more than their names – I am intrigued by “The Earls Of Leicester” (guess where I live?) and “Trampled By Turtles”.

That does look very promising!
All sorts of obscure artist I’ve never heard of.
Brown Sabbath, eh?
Brown Sabbath are great, Horn driven funk covers of Black Sabbath songs. Very entertaining…
“For fans of Billy Joel and Mumford and Sons,” it says here. Strange bedfellows. I’ll give it a go nonetheless – thanks for the heads up.
You live in Turtleton?
I see what you did there…
Thank you.
