I have contacted the admins and hopefully once they are awake, by which time I will be asleep, it might be sorted. Hoping to wake up in the morning to a brand new looking thread.,
Got to be Zappa’s least inspiring solo ever. Although he picks up on the single underlying key correctly, he seems completely bound by the resultant notes he’s got to play with. Well done on finding Mousey – it keeps getting removed from Youtube.
Yes not fabulously inspiring playing from FZ, I mean Nick Mason is not even Jimmy Carl Black let alone Chad Wackerman, but it’s a moment in history which for me is quite touching and even thrilling to see.
Indeed. I had no idea it was coming up when I went through the box visuals. And suddenly there’s my favourite guitarist on stage with them. I was preying for (yet) another Careful with that Axe – Frank would have shone – but hard to take off against Interstellar Overdrive.
I love that Frank’s composure never breaks a sweat. And that he has to be prompted by Nick Mason to start. Rick also seems less inspired with his first solo, but then his second is a significant improvement. The whole event was a bit of a shambles apparently. FZ was brought over to compere I think, but the audience didn’t speak a word of English, so his introductory witticisms died a death.
Hmm wondered why there weren’t any comments on this and it appears the video link didn’t load.
So here it is, hopefully it will work this time

Of course it’s quite possibly nobody commented because nobody actually gives a toss…
Well that’s completely odd, and also the width function doesn’t seem to be there…

That’d be edith of course, goodness me we’re back in the past…
Sort this out please, I didn’t even know that this had ever happened and now I must see it….
It’s on the Facebook page

Here’s the link, I put it in quotes so it would appear, but just copy and paste the middle bit.
Thread of the year so far goes to @Mousey
Er no @Junior-Wells, don’t really think so.

Yep, not there. Could just be a Vimeo problem on this site. Like I said, it posts OK on Facebook.
