Really sad news to wake up to. Julee Cruise has died. She will always have a place in my memories, as this glorious song graced our wedding ceremony. Thanks, Julee.

Very sad to hear this. She was, as they say “no age”. Surprised (pleasantly) to learn that she depped for Cindy of the B-52s when the latter was taking a break to do family things; touching to hear that she excitedly told her SO it felt like joining the Beatles.
Yeah, I was lucky enough to see her with them on that tour.
Gosh, that is sad news. Julee Cruise’s performances in Twin Peaks were part of what made the original series so special. I bought her Floating Into the Night album when it was first released, but haven’t listened to it for a very long time. Time to dust it off for one more spin. Float in peace Julee.
I met her once, in Union Square in New York doing a signing for her “Art Of Being A Girl” CD. She was lovely, and no qualms about talking about David Lynch – you’d imagine, 13 years after Twin Peaks began she would have rather talked about something else, but not a hint of it. She signed my copy “For Keith, Cha Cha Baby, Love Julee”.
