Two singles already. The first one – Bitter End, the chiming one – is possibly the best song they’ve ever released which makes it pretty good indeed. Easily my song of the year so far.
The second – the jangly one and a duet with Tracyanne from Camera Obscura – is almost as good. And if the woman in the video is fed up with her Bad Husband I’m happy to put myself forward as a potential substitute. I think I might be in love.

I saw Eddie Reader last year and she was talking about her husband, John Douglas being a member of ‘Ver Trashcans.
And her brother Frank is the TCS’s singer, of course.
John wrote this for Eddi while she was living in Battersea, to encourage her to move back to Glasgow. The only original song on her album of Robert Burns tunes.

Great news that the Trashcans are back with their first new Music for what seems like ages. The first two singles definitely augur well. Hoping some gigs will be announced to support the new album.
Hmm, I’ve heard of the band but never liked the band name, this is important to me, so I’ve never knowingly heard any of their music until now…and I like what I’ve heard so that new album will definitely be ordered

These two tracks are a real treat, Guiri. Those jangly guitars are very moreish and Tracyanne is always a delight.
