Musings on the byways of popular culture
Beautiful.
My goodness that is stunning. I especially like the fact your family obtained a blind with matching colours.
In the OP of the thread, there is just one photo. In the Blog, you can see a second, front-on. How does that happen?
I had some Mod help with the photos so tbh I don’t know.
Bravo.
That’s absolutely terrific. First thing I’m going to do when I have some cash again is give Peter a call.
Fab. Lovely. Never tire of mine, and it’s on the wall behind me for all my work video calls and gets admiring comments.
Happy Birthday Ainsley.
Delighted you’re pleased. I hope it brings you nothing but joy because that is why they are made.
Much appreciated. Have hankered after one for an age so I only had one thought when I was asked what I wanted
That’s lovely. Thank you.
Fabulous, and a lovely gift for life. Many happy returns!
Yes. Happy big-0, Ainsley!
love it!
That’s wonderful. I did the very same when I turned 50. One of the finest gifts I’ve given myself.
Thanks again, Pencil.
It’s a beauty
You are all very kind and most gracious. Thank you.
Lovely jubbly!
Brilliant!
To celebrate my retirement I am about to commission a new ‘squeezer.
I just need to think of a theme.
One positive benefit of C19 is the local builders are now interested in soundproofing my garage, having previously been too busy to bother with such trivial jobs. He tells me it could be over by Christmas.
I intend to move out there until my two grumpy teenagers have left home. It has a loo, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster and a microwave. I might have to commission myself some art, too.
👍
That’s a lovely gift and another splendid example of the artistic hand and mind of our Artist In Residence, Mr Pencilsqueezer.
This came up on Twitter today. Seems apt. https://twitter.com/Kurt_Vonnegut/status/1299739346468311041?s=09
Welcome to the club @Ainsley
That, indisputably, is another magnificent eyeball-pleaser from the Great Dauber.
One day, I hope to have one myself.
It’s the whitespace that does it for me. It makes the whole think more vivid (it says here).
This is true. The Japanese word for it is “ma” I consider it very important in certain pieces I make and just as much thought goes into that consideration as goes into the paint. See also edges.
I love the trees and that’s just at first glance.
I’d like to see this more fully on.
There’s a full on view on the post in the blog list – for some reason it didn’t transfer to the post’s own page
Thank you. It’s on my site. Link in my profile.
