That title may sound dodgy to those with bad imaginations, but following on from the Music from your Kids thread by Clive – of this parish, I wondered if anyone else has a kid (mines 21 now, but hey) who makes vids or short films. Under the alias of George Taylor he’s been making them since he was about 8 years old and has now started making vids for local bands, amongst other visual mischief. One of his first films is still on Youtube and is so cute by the comparison to the dark places he ended up going to in his teenage films.
His latest, posted in the comments was of a local Death metal band called The Bleached live in a Dundee club last week, his mate is the singer. The sound is a bit wack but the visuals & editing are good, but then I would say that. I hope there’s other forum members kids films waiting to be unleashed!

George also showed Wee Ed (above) at a film evening in a Dundee art gallery last week and got a lot of love for this fucked up short. But my personal fave however is the one below, Last Time I Saw Annie.

My son is similar – but started when he was about 12. He’s 17 now. He watches a film every day, sometimes suggested by me. He’s currently enjoying David Lynch in order from Eraserhead. I said that if he could get through and enjoy Eraserhead, then there are many treats in store.
Thank you BC, in fact thanks for all the positive comments and I will pass them on. Yes, a film a day seems to work as George does that too, to the extreme that instead of collecting records like his old man, he collects high end Blu-ray’s of his favourite films. He’s a big Lynch fan too, though I can’t seem to get him into Hitchcock, I have tried. I look forward to seeing where he goes with making videos for bands, I really enjoyed the experimental one he did with an old Cocteau Twins tune.
That’s lovely. I know I go on about Depeche Mode a bit, but it made me think of the Anton Corbijn films he does for them.
What a wonderful surprise that was @Gardener. When you wrote FILMS FROM YOUR KIDS, I thought you wanted to know what my offspring seen on Netflix or at the cinema. I got that wrong.

THE LAST TIME I SAW ANNIE really had me looking forward to seeing more. He’s an excellent story-teller and had some fine actors.
Yes, the Dangerous’ short really is sweet isn’t it? The bit in Last Time ‘ when the girl sings Fast Car gets me every time, he did mention that she (Brooke) is going to be in a forthcoming short again soon. Another I like is this silly one.
