but the new album from Anais Mitchell is a bit good. I have added the link to her European tour dates and I have @SteveT to thank for the album.

Musings on the byways of popular culture
It is rather.
Everything she touches is quality. Her own albums, the musical and her work with Bonny Light Horseman, Big Red Machine and others.

Gothenburg.
Bugger.
I have it on my list for next payday. Lillian Smith has been playing a track every morning this week on RTE – each one sounds great on first listen.
Although I had heard of foot fetishists, I never imagined people getting so excited about old boots.
“I’m untying the laces and slipping them out”
“Do it slower!“
Have heard very good things about this, so must check it out – thanks for the
prompt.
Interesting, quite enjoying it for now, a slightly reflective Joanna Newsom is my first impression 😉
A careful and clever way to say you don’t like her voice? Although not as divisive as the squeaky Joanna, I struggle with her being just that too much shrill, spoiling the otherwise excellent Bonny Light Horseman.
That’s what I found that put me off buying the BLH album.
It’s her voice, I can’t be doing with it.
playing Salisbury and Leeds on the same day according to her website! Even if she’s on at lunchtime at the festival still going to be bit of a rush isn’t it?
(suspect the Thursday date is in for the festival as that’s when it starts, and she’s probably playing the Friday or Saturday…)
I’ve ordered it, along with a whole stack of new albums (lots of exciting stuff coming out Jan/Feb), but I’ve only received half my order so far – the rest is delayed, probably because of problems regarding transportation (the store I work in, and indeed all supermarkets, has been getting smaller deliveries than usual for weeks now, and just got information that they expect this to go on for at least three more weeks – too many people everywhere home sick or in quarantine to keep the producing, packing and transportation systems working smoothly).
There’s also a new Bonny Light Horseman album on its way soon!
This is my most played album so far this year. From Brooklyn Bridge to Watershed it’s a record to lose yourself in. I have no problem with her voice. In fact there are hints of Kate Bush in places. A truly great album.
