Just a heads up for any sports nuts. BT/ESPN have added some documentaries to their schedules in the U.K. some of them are from the award winning 30 from 30 catalogue.
I’ve been at home for 5 weeks with a stress fracture of the left thigh and have been royally entertained by some new found gems.
I just watched The Greatest Who Never Lived about running back Marcus Dupree, which was a wonderful film. Another joy was The Band That Wouldn’t Die about the Baltimore Colts Marching Band and what happened to them after the Colts snuck out of town in the middle of the night and reappeared in Indianapolis. Both are great pieces of film making (the Colts one is by Barry Levinson) and amazing stories.
I know these films have been around a long time but ESPN seem to add a few more to their platform, from time to time. If you’re lucky enough to have access through your subscription, they are well worth seeking out.
