It all seems rather expensive ($200 or $260 if you want colour vinyl) for three LPs, three 10″ EPs, and three 7″ singles. There’s unreleased live stuff, but it’s short on complete sets (only Pink Pop) and the rest is just highlights, including highlights from Hollywood High, which has already been released in full anyway.

Massive fan of EC but will be skipping this. Really want a CD equivalent at less than half the price.
7″ singles are a pain in the ass as far as I am concerned.
The price is astronomical – he is clearly taking the piss here.
Ridiculously overpriced and I’d imagine pretty easy to get hold of the original vinyl if required. I have most of this and it sounds fine so I’m not convinced there’ll be much in the way of an upgrade.
It might be easy to buy the original record but it’s a lot harder to actually get hold of the actual vinyl with that stupid origami sleeve!

Here you go, fill your boots! Like Steve I’m a massive fan and I have a huge collection of him on 7”, 10” and 12” vinyl, cassette, cd and mp3 but no way will I be parting with £250 for this.
I am always amazed that anyone buys stuff like this.

What chance a CD? It seems that Mr Costello has decided they are irrelevant.

@Tiggerlion except for his new album which will no doubt sell more on cd than on vinyl.
My guess is this will eventually be released on CD ‘due to popular demand’ but only after the vinyl box sales have run their course.
There was a pretty furious response to this on SDE and I don’t think he has won any new fans that’s for sure.
