I will embed the video in the comments but Elly Schlein, Italy’s Leader of the Opposition, has just caused me to have goosebumps.
Basically, she gives Trump a severe ticking off and unites the whole house by doing so. She did this by expressing solidarity with her opponent – PM Meloni – on backing the Pope against ol’diarrhoea pants.
It doesn’t matter that I don’t quite understand what she’s saying. You can *feel* it. It has been years since I have seen such a moment and it gives me hope. Anyway, carry on.
