That’s a shame. He was just how I imagine an F1 boss should be: touring the world and having the time of his life in between high-stakes, multi-million-pound events in glamorous cities.
I recall him taking David Coulthard or presenter Steve Jones on a tour of Monaco in a luxury car. He was clearly living a wonderful life.
Pretty incredible achievement to build a reasonably successful F1 team with his own name and brought through some great drivers. Seemed to be a likeable guy, am sure there was plenty of sleel there too.

This weekend is Non-League day and our club is having an initiative re: Prostate Cancer…. so, yeah, with the impetus of this news, I’ll be on the front foot.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been watching F1 for years and Eddie was always a hoot, especially when he was being controversial – and knew it!
