Well, it looks like this one will be in freegal (a new track popped up there yesterday) so, if you’re a member of the right library, you can download it for nothing.
Not quite sure why Bob was in Oxfordshire, but he was apparently forced off the road by a speeding David Cameron anxious to reach the safety of his Chipping Norton bolt hole.
Amazon Italy offered a similar deal a few months back. The Italian site consistently sells things cheaper, often substantially so. Confusingly, the products are then frequently dispatched from UK warehouses, which rather undermined my theory that the Italian branch was simply over-stocking.
I’ve bought the odd thing from the Italian site. Not 100% sold as one purchase was inexplicably cancelled and another was problematic re a fault – and there was no question of any UK warehouse involvement then, I can tell you.
Taken awhile but at 49.99 I’ve finally seen a price I’m prepared to pay. I think the best release since vols 1-3 in the bootleg series was Another Self Portrait which, considering the reaction at the time, is a little strange. Maybe it was simply that little of the material had been bootlegged before and the quality of some of this stuff was way beyond the released album.
Loved Shadows In The Night and his show at the RAH last year was surprisingly good. Freed from the constraints of playing much of his back catalogue he seemed engaged with the songs he was performing and his voice is better suited to these songs now rather than, say, LARS or VoJ.
Hmmm, think I played the last one twice.

That is once more than I played Real Live
And the same number for Down in the groove
Hold on, latest news just in: there’s been a motorcycle accident just outside Woodstock, I’m afraid it’s not looking good.

…..not forgetting the Record Store Day E.P. with four songs that are going to appear on the album anyway.
Hmm, v. useful.
