The long-awaited definite biography of the mighty Dr. Strangely Strange has finally been announced.
Expect tales from the sixties Dublin music scene, about Gary Moore waiting for a babysitter, and lots of pictures of phono fiddles, weird trousers, and orphanages.

Much as I appreciate the mighty phonofiddle the Strangelies don’t appear to have used one.
Shall look out for this.
Tim Goulding plays a Howson Phonofiddle on both of their original albums, for example on »Ashling« (Heavy Petting). The book features pictures from several photo sessions where they proudly sported that instrument.
Ta @fatima_Xberg. Will check out my albums.
How reassuring, this is just as I expect an Afterword post to be; oddly normal.
… and following on from the “not listening to any music anymore” thread, I’ll also dig out “Kip of the Serenes” tonight.
I suspect I’ll enjoy reading about them more than I do listening to them. Thanks for the heads up.
A copy is available for review if anyone is interested?

Great – thanks.
Strangely strange but oddly normal is all I know about them. But I know it well.
