Solid amateur documentary about an interesting subject.
From IMDB: A Documentary film exploring the history and evolution of vinyl records. Featuring Interviews with the experts, musicians and fans alike, ‘Stuck in the Groove’ takes you on a journey of vinyl-mania, music and nostalgia.

Also Squaring the Circle: The Story of Hipgnosis (2023) on Netflix: Competent and enjoyable documentary that told me nothing I didn’t already know.
It’s called STUCK in the Groove not DOWN.
And it’s from 2022!
And it’s pretty good. A bit like an AW podcast with pictures.
Goodness. Worth a wallop then?
The copyright at the end is 2021, which is what I go by, but it was probably released in 2022. I’m probably the only person who considers Reservoir Dogs to be from 1991 instead of 1992 due to the copyright date at the end. If I see a copyright date I usually prefer to use that.
Note that the only reason I see copyrights at the end is usually because I’m checking the music credits at the end of the film.
Just watched the Hipgnosis film.
Well worth an hour and a half of your time just for the hippy historical context.
Hipgnosis on my list for tonights viewing.
One that was offered on the IMDB page under “More Like This” I think I’ll leave – The Story of Milli Vanilli
The story of Milli Vanilli is interesting. Spoiler alert: it didn’t end well.
I feel sorry for those poor blokes. In 1990, when I was thinking “Grrrr…. Look at those disgustingly good-looking bastards” this would have been unimaginable. And also that they were essentially part of the same wider narrative as the Bay City Rollers and the Larry Parnes/ Major Ralph-Ralph stable. In some ways the almost complete collapse of pop music as an industry is not to be lamented.
What would you give for eighteen months of being able to shag pretty much anyone on the planet? Not a dilemma I expect to have to face, but an interesting thought experiment.
Well, all is not lost:
