I must confess the only thing I’ve ever heard by Lady Gaga is the duet she did with Mick Jagger on the Stones 50th anniversary tour. Her get-up tends to overshadow her performances but she worked well with Jagger that night. I think they did Gimme Shelter
This guy puts the asm in enthusiasm…
(No, I don’t know what that means either…)
And TBH I’ve only heard the song in the background of that video, difficult to form an opinion of it between his excited screams and furniture throwing antics!
I’m not exaggerating when I say that through the years I must have learned more on the Word/Afterword sites than I ever did in school (granted; I didn’t go there as much as they wanted me to…)
‘S okay – Fridays, I work at a pet grooming salon where the lady dogs spend the whole day slagging the up-themselves prima cagnas at Crufts..
(Reply to Locust’s video – how did I end up down here?)
Yup. She’s lost it. No matter what you’re into musically, those two monster albums and the singles from them were just impossible not to like. Whatever else surrounded them in terms of the “art”, the marketing, the pomp and fuss etc, they were GREAT TUNES.
Agree. It all seemed to go wrong with the long layoff caused by her hip trouble and subsequent operation. She never seemed to recover momentum after that, and as you say, the tunes disappeared.
Exciting news.
This has to be IT. This will be when she gets good again.
Did she stop being good then? I really liked ArtPop.
I never warmed to it, although the instrumental version is quite listenable.
I AM MOIST. http://www.digitalspy.com/music/feature/a672050/lady-gagas-new-album-everything-you-need-to-know-from-the-2016-release-to-stars-including-redone-and-elton-john/
Or mosit, in the days before Edith Fnuction.

@h-p-saucecraft will be able to point you in the right direction Gaga-wise, if you’re curious.
Remind me to renew my supply of earplugs…
Hoping for a vinly release.
Available immediately through car boot sales.
OOOOOH!!
I’m washing my hair that day.
Probably of minority interest here, but she’s announced the new single. It’s called Perfect Illusion and is out the day after tomorrow. Wahey!!
*sighs*
It’s a bit, erm, generic to say the least. It’s… okay. The Guardian sum it up well here: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/sep/09/lady-gaga-perfect-illusion-review-underwhelming-comeback-in-search-of-a-melody
Here’s a guy who liked it (NSFW if the word “bitch” isn’t regularly used in your work place…)
WOW! I think I like this video more than the new song!

Here you go, Locust. Perhaps it’ll distract you from your lurgi for three minutes, at the very least.
Hm. Dosn’t really pack that First Single punch that you expect, does it?
(And what is lurgi when it’s at home??? Never heard of!)
Lurgi/lurgey/lurgy = a cold or other flu-like/snot-related virus, e.g. “Don’t go near Locust this week, she’s got the raging lurgy!” 🙂
Origin: The Goon Show (50s BBC Radio)

Yup from the episode ‘Lurgi Strikes Britain ‘. Believed to be named after the river in Donegal where writer Spike Milligan’s family hail from

It’s like the meandering queue in the post office, you can’t push your way in past the other queuers! (“Hey – who are you calling a queuer?”)
Looks like a queuer, sounds like a queuer, I should think they probably are queuers

The daughter has just been to a secret Lady Gaga gig in London. This may or may not be awesome, depending on point of view.
So it’s pants, then. Disappointing.
*sad face*
