Scheduling is important. For most of the last 13 years, I took all of my meds and supplements first thing, while I waited for the kettle to boil, to make my first cuppa of the morning.
Last year bloods indicated my liver was no longer tolerating the chemo, a liver ultrasound indicated shadows off-screen, a CTI scan on my kidneys revealed three large, bright white, kidney stones.
It turns out taking the calcium supplements on an empty stomach has probably contributed to this. Made worse when taken in combination with tea. If only someone had told me that in 2013… I now take them with my breakfast.
The scheduling of your tablets seems so complicated Niall and I’m delighted you have the patience to carry it through. I can’t imagine what you’ve been going through but I find that you are always positive, I find that very uplifting.
I was once a gambler but only playing poker I’ve never understood horse racing although many of my friends get just like yourself lots of joy from it especially if that bet comes up. I do love horses though and I often think like lots of animals they have a that extra sense only a few humans experience – an empathic sense to understand us.
Keep up with your positivity Niall you’re an inspiration to me anyhow.

That banana loaf looks delish.
@fentonsteve That’s tough. It’s becoming a bit of a bugbear for me. The cake is epic 🙏
Sounds like you had a good couple of days, a well deserved break from bad luck.
And yes, both the pie and the cake looks very nice!
@Locust Thank you.
I’ve been shirking from home watching Cheltenham; so glad you’re watching with us!
@Vulpes-Vulpes A really good week.

Oh, that cake looks very tasty.
@Pyramid Thank you. It’s all about the horses, for me. Thank you.
You do realise don’t you that once you are done with the Chemo, we are all going to turn up at Chez Brannigan for cakes ?
Glad to hear it’s been a good few days. Keep on keeping on.
@Chrisf Ha! Janet is blushing because cake and desserts is so not her thing.
You lucky man you get ALL that cake to yourself!
@Pyramid It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it.
