EMF, known best for their hit Unbelievable, said their original keyboardist Derran “Derry” Brownson died on Thursday following a brain tumour diagnosis.
55 is no age.

I saw EMF three times: at university SU (despite being blown off stage by the support act, Stereo MCs, EMF released a live EP from this gig); at Kilburn National the night before my first final exam (in retrospect, probably not my smartest move, I got a 2.2); at Norwich UEA after the second album came out. They were always good for a jump about.

Was this the member of EMF who once claimed he could fit a pineapple in his foreskin? You didn’t get that detail in the obituaries.
No, that was bassist Zac Foley and a grapefruit. He died in 2002.
