First we had the infamous “Is it Red or is it Brown?” fiasco.
Now you lot seem to have messed around with the Track Function.
I can’t be the only one (?) who uses Track as primary navigation – a great feature.
This morning I hit Track and the only the newest comment appears. When I hit Older Comments it takes me back to the top of the thread (which for the Wordle thread is roughly 4368 posts ago.).
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?

And of course it needs to be said again – to have a site maintained for free with so many bells and whistles is nothing short of miraculous.
What a mean-spirited post! I for one believe that Knighthoods would be scant recompense for this Band of Heroes!
Works for me. In fact, the previous bug has been fixed. How odd.
Ah, only seems to be related to the Wordle thread. Maybe it’s too big ( a comment I often hear)?
That brightened up my day considerably.
What did? The fact that this imaginary glitch is only related to the Wordle thread, or the idea of Lodes frequently being told “it’s too big”? If the former, I understand your relief. If the latter, I think you should know that he’s married.
»you should know that he’s married…«
Well, if he’s got time for Wordle, anything’s possible.
You minxette! You’re too busy reading the booklets that come with box sets to do Wordle I assume?
Yes, but you’re an engineer. Of course it works for you. I think Lodey is what’s known as a “silver surfer”. He’ll be trying to “press the right buttons in the right order” like his grandchildren showed him, but it’s very easy to get confused. I’ve never used the Track Function myself. Didn’t notice there was one.
Most useful Track is. Saves you scrolling down through a long thread and accidentally pressing Wrong buttons whilst sending even more money to that unfortunate but very friendly “Tania”.
How odd. I’ve never used it for anything. What does it do?
It only works if you’ve made a comment on the particular thread… doesn’t it?
If you are part of a discussion on a longish thread, Track takes you to the latest comment you haven’t read straightaway. This saves you scrolling down through the whole thread. Marvellous!
No messing around with any functions from our end. Perhaps you’re having your own private fiasco but we’ll check it out to be sure.
…and it’s DARK ORANGE
It’s the same on my phone as on my tablet (both Android if that’s of any import).
(Guess I should have direct messaged you instead of cluttering up the Forum with trivial nonsense. Hold on a minute, isn’t trivial nonsense what this…..)
Dark orange? DARK ORANGE? Is there such a colour? It’s brown, it’s horrible and it clashes – please change it back or I may have to start reading Daily Mail Online instead.
*sobs uncontrollably*
Will no-one think of the children??
Must we fling this filth at our pop kids?
Or this pop at our filth kids. Won’t somebody think of Moose?
(My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fanta Sea)
Fanta Sea. Santa Fe. Santa Dog. Dogtanian. Dave Vanian. Vanity thy name is Womack and Womack.
That there Rob C has got himself re-entwined in everyone´s DNA – and I guess we are all the better for it.
Om Fanta.
Om Shandy, Bhaga Krisps.
Can we change it next time to misty green and blue?
It’s working perfectly well for me on my iMac, Lodey 🤷🏻♂️
Yes me too! WELL DONE TEAM MOD!
Even on the Wordle thread?
Why on earth would I want to look at anything to do with Wordle?
Quite, when one can instead kick back with a herbal jazz gasper and a copy of ‘Autobiography Of A Yoghurt’.
Completely agree with you about the usefulness of the Track function. Pretty much the first button I press.
Here’s a song about colours for you, Mod Team, as a small thankyou for all your efforts.
Donovan, of course, invented colours,
He invented inventing, KFD!
He even invented KFD
Wordle Girdle Man
Perhaps Kaisfatdude could help out with some research if we invented Runele? I know that sounds a bit like a trans prostitute from Glastonbury or a weird datschund, but I’m thinking ancient Nordic divination play, guys.
I think we’d have to spell it Runle, though but.
Here’s my starter.
See, see, see!! I was Right! Hubert has the same problem as me (and he can’t get Track to work properly on the Wordle thread either). I was Right!
I was Right!
All this talk of a Track function has led me to two discoveries. First, I have discovered that @fentonsteve made a comment in February on my last post, made in January on my friend’s son’s Hindsight track (thank you, Steve) and, second, I have discovered how to paste the page of a past post … so I am going to do it with my Hindsight post because I liked the track then and still do now. Ha!
After Gary, Track is the best thing on this site
When it works
Y’know the Mods had it in their noddles that if a chap’s soul was pure the Track function would work perfectly every time.
Poor old Lodey keeps getting sent to the top of the thread…
You try it then on the old Wordle thread. See if you’re better than me. (If you are I don’t want to know)
Who’s Top Of The Totty? Beverly Craven, Judy Tzuke, or Tanita Tikaram? Let’s hear it for those Great Britbeat Babes!
You have clearly missed this. No Tikaram included.
I have never really used Track and I’m not sure why I would want to! I’m a Recently Updated guy through and through.
About ten years ago some wag on here started a thread called Recently Updated. Hilarity ensued (in my tiny mind anyway)
This reminds me of my why cant I reply thread? For which I was roundly mocked til the anomaly was identified.
Track is a wonderful tool for the self-referential among us. For those with an interest only in threads they have created or have commented on.
“For those with an interest only in threads they have created or have commented on.”
You mean there are other ways of approaching the Afterword, Junior?
I use update and track. I rarely go to Forum for new threads. So if you want the the magical insights of Wells J you will need to bump your post.
