When I were a nip I thought this was dead good. I haven’t listened to it for years but was suddenly moved to…and it is still dead good. Fab guitar playing and particularly good bass playing too. That’s all.

Crikey – Bargepole can’t remember the last time he heard that one! Where do all those years go?
I played this album to death – I think I came across it in the late 70’s. “Beyond The Universe” is just bonkers and there’s some much sampled white boy funk on “Envy”. Not to forget “Sailor” which may or may not appear in the video below

Yes the first two Derringer albums are terrific and now available remastered on a twofer. Love Rick – great player
That’s nice – never heard it & just bought
Didn’t RD play the magnificent slide part on Show Biz Kids ? If he did then he can retire a happy man
He did!
That was great. Off to Amazon!
Came across this by chance on youtube. As I can’t seem to post links that embed, it’s a Derringer show in glorious black and white in 1977. It’s a rough mix which favours the drums and vocal over guitar (in fact it sounds like the second guitar isn’t plugged in) but it gets better as the gig goes on.
