I’m a big Dawes fan and as usual I’m warming slowly to a new album of theirs. Ever since the first 2 or 3 it’s not been instant, but I’ve come to love them in the end.
I’ve only heard Passwords through once, though I’ve heard the tracks released earlier on Spotify a few times. Liking it, but feel it’s a bit “saccharine” at the moment.
The albums don’t do justice to the live performance. I’ve listened to the new one a few times – normal service. 3 or 4 immediate great songs and 7 r 8 growers. Which is pretty much how I like my albums.
Mine arrived yesterday – will be giving it a spin to.orrow. Great band.

I will be checking this out. I merely thought Dawes were good until I caught them live and they became transcendent. One of my top 10 gigs ever.

I’ve got the last couple plus I’ve listened on Spotty – there’s a good live session on there.
I still can’t quite get over the fact that the name has associations with very uncool bicycles from my youth.
That’s why I like them. They remind me of my 10 speed Dawes Lightning.
