Some confusion in there too:
6 x Iggy Pop albums = £100 – £150: fair dos
6 x Alice Cooper albums (+1 signed) = £100 – £150: sounds fair
Pulp – This Is Harcore album = £80 – £120 (Current Bid = £65): ???
I know 90s vinyl is a sought after thing, and Discogs confirms this region of pricing. But …

Lot 15 is wrongly labelled.
It says: THE CLASH – ELECTRIC BALLROOM MANCHESTER, LIKELY C 1980S ISSUE POSTER.
If they’d cared to actually look at the poster, they’d have seen that the famous Manchester venue played by the Clash was the Electric CIRCUS, not the Electric Ballroom.
The Electric Ballroom was near Camden Town station in London!

There are many exceedingly desirable titles in there, but its a shame that the condition of many leaves a lot to be desired.
dai says
Some of the estimates look fairly reasonable to me, perhaps reflecting that not everything is in mint condition.

What a chancer. If he wasn’t slightly well-known they’d be going for a tenner in a car boot sale.

What? All of them?
MC Escher says
I meant per lot.

There are quite a few there that would go for a lot more than that, even at a claimed ‘Vg+’ condition (which in my experience can mean pretty shitty) simply because of their rarity value. I’ve got some of those myself. These days I wouldn’t touch anything second hand rated less than ‘Mint’. I used to buy LPs rated ‘Ex’ but got burnt too many times.

Not sure what the Bee Gees are doing in the glam rock singles collection.
Thegp says
22 Bee Gees albums that are all out of print for £80 seems a good deal to me
Not sure about all the other random stuff. No takers yet for the Charlie Drake album signed by Johnny Rotten for £600

An original Bright Pheobus – bloody hell.
Jaygee says
Given that sellers are routinely going to try and make the listing for their LPs sound a lot better than the LPs themselves, anything less than a mint grading does not sound terribly good. The state of the covers in the pics would also seem to scream caveat emptor.
That said, I think a copy of Fab Macca’s Chaos and Creation as signed by a former member of barely rememembered ’60s novelty act The Scaffold could keep me in WIncarnis Tonic Wine well into my 80s

surprisingly large amount of Queen albums for someone who so famously hated them.

DJs (and music writers) get given loads of albums

Yes, I have a chip on my shoulder about that. Some will claim John Peel-like foresight by showing off an early record from a now-massive act. Or will have huge collections and make out that they are obsessive music fans. But all they did was keep the freebies and file them away.
If you had to buy the records yourself, your collection is far more interesting and meaningful.

My heart sinks when I see a man in his late middle-age with a row of vinlys stacked up behind him – and I like Danny! – it’s a major reason why Record Collector is now such an infrequent purchase.
