That’s brilliant! Suddenly it’s 1969 again…

They are indeed a fabulous pairing of instinctive brit-folk female vocalist and a band of intuitive fandom, channeling everything Albion, Fairport and Span. And, on one track, a smidgeon of pre-1970 Sabbath. I have an advance copy I would love to share but would be shot, even 4 days ahead of release, but will post the review I did elsewhere on Friday.
No dates this side of the pond, and precious few the other, but if we make enough noise??

There are four tracks, inc the OP, on Spotify.
Crucial piece of information I’ve just discovered in the Grauniad – the band are actually the Decemberists.

The Decemberists announced this collaboration a couple of months ago. There is more background here: http://www.decemberists.com/news/offa-rex/
For those of you who struggle with Colin Meloy’s voice it would appear that vocal duties are largely taken by Olivia Chaney.
With luck the dodgers will be delivering Friday

2 Meloy vocals, 1 instrumental and Olivia does the rest. Wonderfully.

Here we are, as promised, sorry it is a “lift” but I couldn’t be arsed to type it all out again.
My proper bought copy arrived today, look out neighbours!!
