So….me and Mrs. T are sat in bed this morning enjoying a first cuppa, and she is reading a Facebook post with a picture of CSN&Y saying that they may reform because they are united in their hatred…’Are they talking about Trump?’…’Yes’, I reply, ‘I saw that the other day’. ‘Oh, right…..is that Colin Bluntstone?’…..’Er….no, that is Neil Young….there’s a clue in the name’……*thwack*! I suppose I deserved that for the sarcasm.
It led me to think….any other cases of daft mistaken identifications out there?

Just today, my 14 year old daughter was laughing with her friend. On interrogation, it seemed that she thought the Irish X Factor contestants with the “wacky” hair were called Edward and Jedward.
“Who would call their kid Jedward”, she asked? I put her straight.

What were their names? I’ve forgotten. Or deliberately buried it in hidden corner of my brain to be lost forever.

Years ago I had the book Business Book Of Rock Stars.
The cover featured portrait shots of the big names done in Warhol-esque colour.
I was convinced that one of the pictures was Gary Daly from China Crisis.
One day the realisation of the alphabet took over, and it was actually Bruce Springsteen staring back at me

The fact Mrs T knows who Colin Bluntstone is and even vaguely what he looks like is pretty damned impressive. I’ve known his name and his voice for many years, but without Google images, I’d be a complete waste at a police identity parade trying to find him.
And you deserved the *thwack*.

I’d be impressed if Colin Bluntstone looked at all like Neil Young!

Both Bluntstone and Youngt have high voices. Too much tea perhaps.
