Can anyone explain to me how my wife can play Spotify from her phone in her college classroom and I, 17.6 miles away, get it booming out loud and clear through Alexa in our home kitchen?
It makes no sense.
And, most importantly, how could it be stopped? It interferes with my lounge armchair enjoyment of B-movies I’ve seen three times before on Talking Pictures TV.
I don’t know about any of that, it might be paranormal or it might be technological, who knows? But if you want a good B-movie to watch, I came across Who Can Kill A Child? on YouTube recently. An excellent 1976 film that I’d never heard of. It reminded me of Hitchcock’s The Birds, only with Village of the Damned type kids instead of birds.

I see on IMDB the title is “Would You Kill A Child?”. On YouTube it’s called “Who Can Kill A Child?”.

Whatever the title, it’s well worth watching free on YouTube. The fake blood is a bit dated, but it’s a very good b-movie.

I’m guessing this is Spotify Connect (which uses the phone like a remote control) as I don’t think the BlueTooth connection would be much cop at 17 miles away.
It reminds me of a crime drama Mrs F and I once watched – can’t remember what it was called, but it might have featured Jody Whittaker. Widower lives next door to son and daughter in law. Widower is next door and plays something on son’s BT speaker. Widower goes home and watches p0rn on phone, sound comes out of BT speaker next door. Spoiler alert: everybody dies.
It was Adeel Aktar in “Sherwood”. There’s a lesson for life right there.
Bluetoothed! I think it was ‘Industry’ where a character had a similar experience – she was in the bath watching porn or someone sent her a fruity self video and had quite forgotten her phone was linked to the speaker in the living room where a dinner party was in progress
