  30. Farscape. An immensely entertaining Sci-Fi series that got pulled before it reached it’s proper conclusion. As seems to be the norm with this sort of stuff.
    Could only find Series1 Ep1 either in shite resolution or else dubbed in Spanish. Here’s Series1 Ep2.

  31. Firefly – possibly Joss Whedon’s finest moment. Basically a Western in space this finds the ever watchable Nathan Fillion channelling his best Han Solo as Captain of the Serenity. Along with a ragtag crew of assorted misfits he tries to make a living moving cargo between worlds, sometimes of dubious legality. It’s tongue firmly in into cheek at times, this has great acting, great scripts and action galore. Sadly it was messed about by a network that didn’t understand what it had and was cancelled after one series. Such was its fan base however, that Whedeon was able to make a feature film a couple of years later, Serenity, that tied up many of the loose ends. Well worth watching.

    • Nice work Wheldrake, A totally wonderful series, Scandalous that they only made one series.

      Starlord in Guardians of the Galaxy really reminded me of Captain Mal Reynolds of the Serenity and I mean that as a compliment.

  51. F you say? Well, here’s a song about the letter F from Swedish TV classic for kids; “Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter” (“Five ants are more than four elephants”), the Sesame Street of Swedish TV.

    • I’d been scrolling through without seeing them, and eventually fired up YouTube in the other tab to get them on here. One of the very best bands ever. That was off their first record, have one from the last:

  66. Went to see The Feeling at Hammersmith, just as they were reaching peak popularity for their first album. This clip captures the rapturous spirit of the gig perfectly:

      • 3 things must ye know about The Farm:
        -All Together Now is one of the 500 million songs based on Pachelbels Canon
        – They were co-managed and co-produced by Suggs
        – Brian Cox was not their keyboard player

        Having now sounded like a completely negative t*sspot, I do remember Spartacus as a particularly fine album (perhaps not a classic of it’s time, but valid nonetheless) – I’m off to give it another spin (it’s probably about 20 years (?) since I last listened to it)
