Simple solution: don’t buy them. If the pound is down 10% against the dollar and they’re trying to put prices up 25% they clearly think you have more money than sense. Prove them wrong and they’ll soon start cutting their prices.
Fair comment – though I wonder if that tactic has ever worked – also if the comic book distributor is hiking prices, surely other businesses will follow suit soon.
Should add – I pretty much stopped buying new comics a while ago as they were already too expensive as far as I was concerned.
A fair number of the popular titles are also being published twice monthly now as well – its already difficult to keep up. Sales figures suggest the industry is pretty darned healthy.
