Hope there’s mo truth in the allegations. I’m no great fan, but am of an age when he was always in the charts or on the television. It really would desroy ones faith and trust in anyone.
As is usual in these cases I see the subject is proudly announcing that they are ‘fully cooperating’ with the Police. Doesn’t anyone ever tell these idiots that to act otherwise is a criminal offence?
I am a huge advocate of the BBC.
I’m listening to the Radio 4 news now and throughout the summer the dial will be set on Five Live Extra for Test and County Cricket.
However, I sincerely hope that Cliff screws them for every penny he can get in what, from the information received so far, appears to be an open and shut case.
What an interesting post! What does it mean to be a “huge advocate of the BBC”? For what? Against what? How does one understand such a concept otherwise?
It’s quite simple. It means I’m not anti the BBC. It’s not difficult to understand.
That said, back to today’s news:
Preposterous though it might sound, the BBC are actually considering an appeal … I reckon that journalist (born 1984, don’t laugh) must have something on the Director General.
Advice to Cliff … go to your vineyard in Portugal and don’t look back.
So what if the BBC want to piss around the law courts for the next year on the Licence Fee payers’ money? Have absolutely nothing to do with it.
The most amazing thing about the whole sorry debacle is that the BBC have actually made the South Yorkshire Police (remember them?) look faintly noble and self-aware.

er … anyone?
Think the old adage about “don’t post speculative stuff or discuss ongoing legal cases for fear of dropping the site in the shite” is needed here
Is the correct answer. Let’s just see how things play out, shall we?

… is the right answer.
Any news about the knob-cheese who made the joke about “Jailhouse Rock?”
Sacked, or in the process of being sacked, I hope.

I think the appeal isn’t to with Sir Cliff per se but with the wider-ranging effects of the judge’s commentary.
Get it. Hugely not anti.
As the youngsters say: I’m just SO not anti. You wouldn’t believe how not anti I am.
