Chris Squire, has been diagnosed with Acute Erythroid Leukemia (AEL), an uncommon form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He will be treated near his home in Phoenix. AML has an unattractive prognosis. Send progressive love.

Saw this in Facebook. Not good at all. Hope the contrary old beggar makes it. For all his faults he’s a great musician and entertainer.
Fingers crossed – fantastic innovative player
I hate these posts. My heroes should go on forever, like their music. Get well big man.
I’m a big fan of his first solo LP. Chris Squire – Fish Out Of Water
Yes – Roundabout Isolated Bass Track

Same here, Beany – far and away the best of the clutch of solo albums….
Best wishes to Chris and his. Huge fan here.
*crosses fingers*
Stay strong Chris, good luck.
Very bad news….my all time hero, and the reason I’ve played a Rick for the last 30 odd years…..all good wishes to Chris & family….
Simply one of my all time favourite musicians. Everything crossed for him.
Love his bassing, just wonder if Jon will visit him in hospital.
*From ‘Grumpy Old Rockstar’ by Rick Wakeman – “Jon was the only one of Yes who visited me in hospital”.
And since Chris’ treatment of Jon when he got ill, I do wonder about karma. Not that I don’t wish him a full and speedy recovery.
Yep, the same thoughts occurred to me.
I always thought he was Yes’s secret weapon. Immediately recognisable. Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe……shurely shum kishtake?
It and its live counterpart are way better than 90125, Big Generator and 90125 Live and the Solos gubbins.
I do think some of the best tracks on Union are from ‘Cinema’ ;D
It would have been interesting to have heard a second ABWH album to see how they developed – although the demos released by Anderson on his ‘Watching The Flags That Fly’ cd a few years back suggest the jury is still out.
True to form, the band will tour without him…

Preposterous……the one element of Yes which cannot be substituted…..
…maybe that’s “should not”……
