@fitterstoke As chemo days go, it was a good one. I was first on the ward so got my favourite chair and pinched a big table. Medina was looking after me again, so that was reassuring. The Anti-sickness bag went through smoothly and then it was the big 500ml bag of Rituximab. The four hours for that passed slowly but I was able keep up with well-wishers and family. Then more anti-sickness before the Bendamustine, which is also 500ml but goes through at a much quicker rate. The only hiccup was an hour’s wait for the Bendamustine to come up from the pharmacy but, I can’t go anywhere so I had The Paper Kites in my earbuds and relaxed. Seven and a half hours hours in total but a good day. I was shattered when we got home and I slept terribly because the drugs make me feel like I’m plugged into the mains. However, no headache or nausea this morning, so that’s good. Back at 2pm for another bag of Bendamustine.
Thank you for asking and for your support 🙏
Glad to hear that it went well.
Pharmacy – bit of a nuisance if there’s a delay in supply, but it’s not always their fault. Delays can be caused for all sorts of reasons, not all of which are under Pharmacy’s direct control – but they’re remote from the ward, and therefore easy for ward staff to blame!
Can you, like, get a tattoo or something while you’re there, or is it all podcasts?
😂
Niall, dont go anywhere near the USA embassy dressed like that. They are not the brightest sparks as you know.
lol!
😂
Best of luck Niall.
@Leedsboy, cheers 🙏
Hope it goes smoothly.
@Mike-H thanks 🙏
All the best Niall … keep your teeth clean x
@Clive Always 🙏
You’ll have time for maybe two full tracks from the Mahavishnus then.
Only if he picks the radio edits.
@Vulpes-Vulpes Indeed 🙏
Any day can be improved by a paisley shirt, so you’ve made a good start.
Is that one of those sweaty PVC NHS chairs?
Ford Prefect’s advice could be vital here.
@fentonsteve Yes and, yes.
Nice scarf!
@rotherhithe-hack It’s so soft. My favourite.
Best wishes Niall and good luck
@Pyramid Thanks 🙏
Looking good my man. Hope it all goes well.
@Blue-Boy Thanks 🙏
Hi @niallb – not expecting a response today, of course, but I hope that it all went well yesterday.

(I’m very, very biased…😁)
All the very best @niallb. Hope it continues to go well and the cake is good.
@Chrisf The cake is amazing. Banana, cinnamon and hazelnut. Thanks 🙏
@niallb – best of luck! your attitude and honesty, as documented in the ‘chronicles of the lump’, are truly inspiring
@h2triple Thank you, that means a lot 🙏
Like the stylish black/grey/cream combo. More power to whichever of your limbs is most useful.

Best of luck for day two, Niall.
Good luck Niall you are truly inspiring.
@pawsforthought thanks 🙏
@Bejesus Wow, thank you. Just a bloke nearing 70 trying to get through some shit. I have no complaints; it’s life, innit.
Hope today went well too and you can relax for a while.
@hubert-rawlinson thanks. It was a good day but it’s nice to get it out of the way and relax for a few weeks.
Just catching up here. Hang in there pal.
@Twang Thanks 🙏
