Has anyone got a PDF of a copy old Word magazine squirrelled away from June or July 2009 (either the Iggy or Bono cover), I think.
It is the source of one of my proudest moments (almost as good walking in form making a cup of tea one morning from the kitchen, to hear Danny Baker reading out my Monkeys Dressed as Famous People, posted in the old place, on 5Live one morning -, which included Churchill, and Brian Blessed dressed as Vultan from Flash Gordon). There’d been some beef concerning Rod Liddle, and I had written a letter expressing some opinions on the matter.
I got an email from Mark Ellen saying that it was going to be published (with a little editing), but that when it had been received in the office, he’d read it aloud and it had received a standing ovation. That gave me a warm glow for a while, especially as Liddle went to school in my hometown of Middlesbrough (Nunthorpe School, as it happens). If you check the letters pages in question, you’ll be able to tell which one is mine…
I reckon @wholehogg is the man to ask.
It was the Iggy edition of July 2009. I’m have a copy right here. Is a scanned PDF any good to you or do you require something rather more professional? If so then I agree with Mini, @wholehogg is the man.

Scanned PDF of the letters would be perfect. I just want to keep it as a record as my old hard copies are long gone, and so were the paid copies I had from my digital subscription back then. That last part annoys me – I felt sure I had them backed up somewhere, but can I find them? Can I buggery

Should really scan the whole exchange if you have it, right from the disparaging mention of Liddle in the April issue to Liddle’s snarling reply in May and @illuminatus‘ letter in June. A sort of triptych.
Dunno about anyone else, but I’d love to remind myself of the whole exchange – surely we have enough Brownie points wiv the Word Powers That Be to get away with posting it all here, or maybe a link to a pdf stashed somewhere?
