Yeah, I’ve known for some time that he had a place in the Highlands but I hadn’t expected to to be quite so grand. I suppose what I had in mind was like a hunting lodge with, maybe, 4 beds rather than a 16 bed, 11 bathroom, 25 acres mansion.

I have driven past this for years – decades – without ever noticing, or knowing who owned it. It’s half way between Mrs F’s ancestral pile in Ballater and Inverness.
It’s fair to say it is secluded, there’s nothing more than a track into the trees visible from the road.
I wonder if Bob’s ever stopped at Cockbridge to have his picture taken next to the road sign?
Some while back (five or six years?) a chum texted ” Just seen Bob Dylan at Glasgow airport. Landed by private jet apparently and on his way to his Highland castle”. How we laughed.
That is ridiculous, Glasgow is over three hours drive away. Surely he’d have done better to land at Aberdeen or Inverness airport?
My chum knows what Dylan looks like and his info came from one of the airport staff. Bob moves in mysterious ways….
He did play the Armadillo in Glasgow in May 2017. So, perhaps he was flying in for that?
But where does the “Highland castle” bit fit in? At the time, me and chum laughed at the thought of Bob dressed in full Scottish regalia walking the castle walls singing “How does it feel?” but, who knows, on a late summer evening in the Cairngorms where the sun never really sets….?
