The excellent Teleman have a new song out called ‘Cactus’. It’s a great pop song disguised as a dance track. Or perhaps a great dance track disguised as a pop song.

Musings on the byways of popular culture
Excellent! I like this a lot which is good news as I wasn’t blown away by the last single, Submarine Life. New album in September.
Very fine indeed. Part of me was hoping it was a dance version of the Pixies song.
It always comes back to Bowie, doesn’t it?
Always.
Excellent CWN shoehorning there.
Excellent that. A bit Sparksy.
Thanks Bisto – nice start to Friday night. Does anyone else have any new nuggets to share?
I was also going to post this title track from Palace Winter’s ‘Empire’ album which came out a couple of months ago. It’s a very old-fashioned prog-pop track that to my ears is reminiscent of Justin Hayward/Moody Blues. I should be paging @Beany_ to give his opinion!
I was in the process of booking them to play in Cambridge but they pulled out. A week-long UK tour ending with a gig in That London the night before, and one in Amsterdam the night after, and they wanted a night off.
Wimps!
What Mozzer would call “unforeseen logistics problems”, perhaps?
“Cambridge isn’t a college town”
…er….
