In August 1966 The Beatles played their last show in front of a paying audience. Twelve months later their manager Brian Epstein was dead, and they were on their own.

Listened to both parts earlier this week. As always a great listen and the level of detail is just astonishing.
Great stuff, as usual.
The Nothing is Real podcasts are unmissable….thanks!
I am requesting, however, a three-parter on ‘’Who sang the Ah’s in A Day in the Life?’. At a pinch I’ll settle for ‘What is the opening chord in A Hard Day’s Night?’. I know you’ve been holding back on this content gold, but I think it’s time now to mine the seam.
John. A very short podcast.
Five foot nine and a half isn’t so bad. Ringo would be shorter at 5’8″ “. George 5’10” and Paul 5 ’11”
If you’re a man, being less than five foot ten means you are worth absolutely nothing and it’s your duty to humanity to kill yourself and stop stealing oxygen. At 5’6″ I’ve been told this enough times. Them’s the rules in this best of all possible worlds.
I used to think that, and I’m really apprehensive about what I’ll start here considering the megathreads on the SHMF, but I from listening to the isolated track I think it is quite clearly Paul. It is a continuous take from his “woke up” section, and although it starts off sounding nasal, like John, it soon rounds off. I assessed the evidence and changed my opinion, as I did with the query about the minor chord in Gloria.
Excellent as always @Steven-C . I may have missed it but did you omit to mention that a Beatles album was released in December 1966?
